I love the Bollywood clip with the translation. It is a wonderful dance and so many little movements can be fused in dance. On an interesting note, check out Queen Harish of India and Sashar Zarif. Incredible dancers and both men... I was fortunate enough to see both on stage live recently. WOW!

Great info Kathreen!

I do love the visual teaching, it gives much clarity and enjoyment. I was so very also disappointed that she was reduced to perform to Lady Marmalade, it was an insulting to her, and I am sure many of us. They need to be educated.
Thank you for this wonderful blog.
Peace

I absolutely agree, Kathreen.

It's so disappointing to hear that Julia couldn't do her drum solo like she wanted and was practically forced to dance to Lady Marmalade which is used more for hip-hop dance and is a song about a prostitute.

I'm so glad that you posted The Tabbouli Song! It's so hilarious.

Kathreen, I LOVE the way you teach with clips here! You have been explaining things to me for years, but now I "get" it quickly!

I wasn't even aware of how these musical styles have been fused. You are empowering us with knowledge.
